Hello! We Claudia & Carla, mother and daughter founders of Milenio Invitations, and we want to tell you our story. It begins in 1996 in a small town called Sabinas Hidalgo in the north of Mexico. Claudia & Diego, her husband, decided to buy a computer, a design software and a color printer (back in the days it wasn’t as usual that everyone has one in their home), to print labels for a product they were developing. The birthdays of their daughters were around the corner and Claudia design and print the invitations for the birthday party and hand them to all their friend guests. The beautiful design was such a success that all the mother of the guests asked Claudia to design their birthday parties invitations too. That was when Diseños Especiales (Special Designs) was founded as a home based business. Soon she started to receive a lot of orders and she has to move to an office and then to a bigger commercial space and the team started to grow. Costumers start asking for other kind of printing goods and she start making Wedding, Quinceanera, Bridal and Baby Shower Invitations. In the year of 2000 deicide to change the name to Milenio Invitaciones and the business keep growing. Carla wasn’t a little girl anymore and start spending all her free time working in her mom’s office, she loved to make new designs and Claudia noticed her love to the business and decided to make her a partner. In 2009 Claudia’s oldest daughter, also named Claudia got married (obviously we make her the most beautiful and elegant wedding invitation) and she moved to Laredo, Texas and she decides to open the first Milenio Invitations location in the United States, that’s when we start exporting our handmade products manufactured in Mexico and since than we keep growing the business and now we have different locations and sales partners all over the country.
